About the role
- Deployment Manager at Baker Tilly overseeing resource planning and ensuring optimal alignment with business needs. Act as strategic advisor to business units and facilitate resource allocation and utilization.
Responsibilities
- Oversee resource planning, allocation, and utilization to ensure optimal alignment of talent with business needs.
- Act as strategic advisors to respective business units, providing guidance and support to ensure resource management aligns with the overall business strategy.
- Conduct the regular (e.g., annual) forecasting process and compare current year schedules to prior year actuals and project budgets.
- Oversee the assignment process for team member levels and align resources with project requirements and other considerations.
- Facilitate the scheduling of resources to appropriate client assignments based on timing, capacity, levels, skills, and other necessary requirements.
- Collaborate with Deployment Managers to ensure optimal allocation and cross-utilization of resources.
- Use scheduling tools to forecast hours, track utilization, and monitor overall headcount and chargeable hours.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with team members of all levels and act as the main contact for Resource Management questions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- A minimum of 5+ years of related experience, preferably within a professional services Firm
- Interest in connecting with others and helping drive forward the strategic vision of resource management
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part a team across all levels of the Firm
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Integrity within a professional environment
- Professional demeanor and ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
- Ability to manage through competing priorities
