Responsibilities
- Delivering high performance materials and technologies for our performance categories
- Validating technical knit and woven materials according to Design and RM Sourcing team’s seasonal briefs
- Supporting textile developers with in-house material testing, tech packs, material status tracking
- Building and maintaining tools and presentation documents to enhance team efficiency
- Communicating RM suppliers on textile construction and finishing, as well as vendor capabilities
- Initiating and driving material development handoffs to suppliers and quality partners
- Ensuring new developments follow preferred material guidelines to meet sustainability targets
Requirements
- 2 years of industry experience related to materials and trims
- Degree or diploma in Materials Science, Textile Technology, Product or Textile Design, or equivalent industry experience
- Working knowledge of the design and development process from inception through to final adoption
- Extensive knowledge of trim materials and construction
- Thorough understanding of trims and textile manufacturing, including dying, finishing, printing, molding, etc.
- Previous materials laboratory testing experience
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks within tight deadlines
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and PLM systems
- Physical ability to handle small boxes and rolls of fabric, etc.
