About the role

  • Head of Sales overseeing Inside and Outside Sales to establish scalable sales structures at 42watt. Guiding performance and optimizing the sales funnel in a hybrid workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the entire sales organization
  • Take overall responsibility for the strategic and operational leadership of Inside Sales and Field Sales
  • Establish and develop a performance-oriented, scalable sales culture
  • Coach leaders and sales managers to increase closing strength and deal quality
  • Manage performance at team, regional and individual levels and derive targeted measures
  • Develop scalable sales processes, playbooks and KPI systems for sustainable growth
  • Define clear, meaningful performance metrics and use them to steer the organization
  • Establish structured onboarding and training programs
  • Own the end-to-end optimization of the sales funnel and the customer journey
  • Analyze conversion rates and identify the highest-impact levers to increase close rates
  • Ensure efficient handovers between Inside Sales, Field Sales and project teams
  • Be responsible for monitoring pipeline, conversion rates and target achievement
  • Make data-driven decisions to continuously improve performance
  • Derive prioritized actions and ensure their consistent implementation
  • Work closely with Marketing, Operations and project teams to manage sales holistically
  • Systematically integrate customer feedback into the development of processes and offerings
  • Ensure tight alignment of all sales-relevant functions

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in sales leadership roles with responsibility for Field Sales and ideally Inside Sales teams
  • Proven success in building and scaling sales structures and organizations
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, funnels and data-driven performance management
  • Combine a pronounced hands-on mentality with high operational excellence
  • Experience in high-growth companies and/or technically advisory sales models
  • Ideally, industry knowledge in energy, building technology, photovoltaics, heat pumps or construction/renovation
  • Strong sales drive, clear result orientation and outstanding leadership and coaching skills
  • Structured, data-driven way of working with strong execution capability
  • Interest in the energy transition and sustainable technologies
  • Very good German skills (mandatory) and good English skills
