About the role
- Product Manager for Identity Verification and Monitor, leading fraud prevention tools at Plaid. Ensure effective onboarding and AML screening for financial institutions and fintechs with a focus on user identity confirmation.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Plaid’s Identity Verification (IDV) and Monitor (AML) products. Align cross-functional teams around how these products strengthen Plaid’s fraud and compliance platform.
- Translate strategy into actionable product plans. Partner with engineering and design to deliver scalable, high-quality systems that balance user experience, fraud prevention accuracy, and regulatory needs.
- Engage directly with customers and partners to understand emerging fraud patterns, compliance requirements, and market opportunities.
- Support go-to-market efforts by joining customer calls, demoing products, and helping resolve integration or fraud-related issues.
- Collaborate with engineering, data science, legal, and compliance to ensure progress, clarity, and accountability across dependencies.
- Track key metrics for verification success rates, fraud detection accuracy, and customer adoption. Use data and customer feedback to guide iteration and prioritization.
Requirements
- 6+ years of product management experience in fraud, risk, security, or identity
- Strong technical foundation with a degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience building or integrating fraud detection, risk scoring, or IDV/AML systems
- Ability to write clear product requirements and communicate technical concepts to a range of audiences
- Comfortable working closely with engineering, data, and go-to-market teams to deliver measurable impact
