About the role
- Senior Interaction Designer at SS&C working on complex workflows for accounting software. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance user experience in financial systems.
Responsibilities
- Design flexible workflows for a variety of complex tasks
- Create re-usable, extensible patterns.
- Own feature UX from original idea through design, validation, development and gathering feedback
- Proactively identify and resolve situations of ambiguity.
- Help improve and manage our design system
- Build successful, collaborative working relationships with business and technology partners
- Gather insight and feedback from internal sources and customers to inform design decisions
- Collaborate across product teams on strategic design direction of SS&C Advent platform.
Requirements
- 5 or more years experience in a UX design role.
- Experience working on large, complex systems with structured data such as those found in finance or healthcare
- Experience with query or reporting tools
- Experience working with agile or scrum teams
- Familiarity with iterative design and lean UX methodologies
- Expertise in Sketch or Figma
- Patience, flexibility and a positive attitude
- Experience leading UX discussions with stakeholders and customers
- Visual design experience. Familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud tools
- A portfolio that demonstrates all phases of the design process (Discovery, Wireframes, UI design, Research)
- Self-motivated and a solutions-oriented mentality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – with an emphasis on attention to detail
- Experience typically obtained with a bachelor’s degree
