About the role

• Project Manager responsible for managing construction projects from initiation to completion at Buttcon. Leading teams, ensuring compliance, and maintaining budgets in the ICI construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from initiation to completion.
• Work directly with clients and various departments to ensure project delivery on time and within budget.
• Lead project teams for multiple projects while managing all aspects of the project life cycle.
• Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Create and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
• Establish and maintain excellent relationships with owners, architects, consultants, trades & public.
• Ensure compliance with Buttcon’s Health and Safety Program.
• Supervise, mentor, coach, and train project personnel.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders and generate detailed progress reports.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil/Architectural Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the ICI construction industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project.
• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, cost control, contract administration, technology, equipment, means and methods and general industry practices.
• Strong understanding and adherence to safety standards.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Experience with Procore, BIM, Primavera P6, and Axis Accounting Software is an asset.
• LEED, Net Zero, WELL, or Passive House accreditation is an asset.
• Gold Seal Certification is an asset.
