About the role
- Permit Scheme Manager responsible for managing Gloucestershire's Street Works and Road Works Permitting scheme. Ensuring compliance with regulations and coordinating activities across the highway network.
Responsibilities
- Manage the performance of Gloucestershire County Council’s Street Works and Road Works Permitting scheme
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations
- Coordinate and manage all works activities undertaken on the Council’s highway network
- Work closely with various stakeholders, such as other local authorities, transport agencies, and utility contractor companies
- Act as the County Council representative at Regional JAG / HAUC and national meetings as required
Requirements
- Proven experience in Street works
- Strong understanding of relevant systems, regulations and principles
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficiency in relevant street works software
- Ability to work under pressure and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships
