Permit Scheme Manager responsible for managing Gloucestershire's Street Works and Road Works Permitting scheme. Ensuring compliance with regulations and coordinating activities across the highway network.
Responsibilities
Manage the performance of Gloucestershire County Council’s Street Works and Road Works Permitting scheme
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations
Coordinate and manage all works activities undertaken on the Council’s highway network
Work closely with various stakeholders, such as other local authorities, transport agencies, and utility contractor companies
Act as the County Council representative at Regional JAG / HAUC and national meetings as required
Requirements
Proven experience in Street works
Strong understanding of relevant systems, regulations and principles
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Proficiency in relevant street works software
Ability to work under pressure and make informed decisions
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships
