Schedule patient appointments and perform registrations for Overlake Medical Center. Handle insurance verification and collaborate with clinical teams in a hybrid call-center role.
Responsibilities
Provide efficient, accurate and customer-focused communication services in the call center
Schedule routine and complex primary care and specialty appointments
Perform full patient registration at the time of the call
Answer routine insurance questions and obtain/verify insurance eligibility and benefits for some same-day and next-day appointments
Obtain current insurance information for new patients and notify the clinic team of the visit
Work collaboratively with back office teams to ensure patient needs are relayed in a timely manner
Ensure phone communication provides an exceptional patient experience
Work full-time 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm, and follow Hybrid Work Schedule after 90-day probationary period
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service role, physician office, hospital or other frontline customer contact experience in a business setting required
Experience working in a high-volume call center environment highly preferred
Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service
Excellent telephone etiquette
Demonstrated strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with people in stressful situations
Ability to multi-task, be organized and detail oriented
Demonstrated proficient computer keyboard skills
COVID-19 vaccination requirement: proof of full COVID-19 immunization required (must provide immunization card before first day)
