About the role
- Operations Manager overseeing high-volume warehousing and logistics activities for 3PL operation in Hesperia, CA. Leading teams, managing financial performance, and driving operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a large, diverse team, including operations managers, warehouse staff, and drivers.
- Command all aspects of the 3PL business, including inventory control, order fulfillment, transportation, and logistics.
- Maintain financial oversight for the operations unit, meticulously managing budgets and controlling costs to ensure profitability while consistently meeting and exceeding client service expectations.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to identify bottlenecks and implement effective workflow optimizations.
- Uphold rigorous safety standards and compliance with all transportation, warehousing, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5-10 years of leadership experience in a high-volume warehouse or 3PL logistics environment, with at least 5 years specifically in a managerial role.
- Proven track record in managing complete warehouse fulfillment cycles, including ordering, picking, packing, and shipping at scale.
- Demonstrated experience in budget management, cost control, and managing profit & loss (P&L) responsibility for an operational unit.
- High proficiency in using and optimizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and leveraging data for complex operational decision-making.
- Ability to work the full Monday-Friday Day Shift (and flexible hours as needed), and capable of performing physical requirements, including lifting up to 40 lbs. Frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and/or professional certifications like CSCP, CLTD, or Lean Six Sigma are highly desirable.
