Responsibilities
- Provide expert operational support for the GWAM Canada business.
- Coordinate and support the implementation of Canadian Operations projects and initiatives.
- Ensure process improvement projects are documented and adhere to best practices.
- Identify operational or business risks and communicate them to leadership.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external business partners and stakeholders.
- Communicate risks and impacts to company operations and downstream processes.
- Ensure all fund system setups align with project requirements.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand scope, requirements, and impact of requests.
- Liaise with custodians and valuation agents.
- Review operating models and develop appropriate workflows.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Requirements
- Over 7 years of experience in the financial industry, with relevant experience.
- Experience and knowledge in fund accounting and back-office operations.
- Solid understanding of the financial services industry, investment funds, insurance funds and investment securities products.
- University degree, preferably in accounting or finance, CPA or CFA designation is an asset.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
