Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of liquor stores, ensuring compliance with policies and legal regulations
Manage inventory levels in stores
Ensure that the store layout and displays are attractive and optimized for sales
Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth
Recruit, train, and supervise staff, ensuring high levels of customer service
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to employees
Ensure that customers both internal and external receive excellent service and have a positive experience with DLL
Handle complaints and resolve issues promptly and effectively
Manage budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure financial targets are met
Collaborate with other DLL stakeholders, state agencies, vendors, and government officials, requiring strong interpersonal skills and clear communication across all levels of the organization
Regular statewide travel is necessary to support store operations, troubleshoot issues, and maintain relationships with Agency owners and staff
Requires flexibility, with occasional communication outside normal hours to resolve urgent matters
Requirements
Three (3) or more years of retail management, operations or merchandising experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field preferred
