Responsibilities
The HR Operations Specialist supports the Payroll & Benefits Manager in administering employee leave programs, unemployment claims, job accommodations, HRIS reporting and providing backup support for payroll processing.
This role ensures compliance with federal, state and company policies while delivering a high level of service to employees and internal stakeholders.
Manage all types of employee leaves (FMLA, ADA, personal, medical, etc.).
Respond to unemployment claims and coordinate with state agencies.
Facilitate the interactive process for ADA accommodations.
Serve as backup for payroll processing during absences or peak periods.
Manage OSHA reporting and ensure compliance with federal and state safety regulations.
Prepare and maintain HR reports relative to leave, safety and compliance.
Requirements
A minimum of 3 years of experience in HR, payroll, leaves and compliance.
Familiarity of FMLA, ADA, OSHA and unemployment regulations.
Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (ADP Workforce Now)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
