Responsibilities
Define and evolve the target enterprise architecture across CI initiatives, ensuring it supports long-term business strategy and transformation goals.
Lead the development and continuous refinement of the CI IT Playbook, establishing clear architectural principles, standards, and decision frameworks.
Collaborate with Business and IT stakeholders creating IT roadmaps, acting as a strategic advisor and change agent.
Drive architecture governance and chair the Design Authority, proactively shaping the strategic technology agenda.
Translate complex business needs into visionary, scalable, and secure architecture solutions that anticipate future demands.
Develop and maintain reference architectures across application, data, and business domains, aligning them with enterprise strategy and innovation priorities.
Build and energize an architecture community across Zurich Commercial Insurance Units, fostering alignment, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
Guide and mentor solution architects, ensuring architectural deliverables reflect strategic intent and enterprise-wide consistency.
Own and manage architecture artefacts as living assets that support decision-making, governance, and transformation.
Scout emerging technologies and assess their strategic relevance, championing innovation and future-readiness across CI.
Requirements
7+ years of experience in IT architecture, with at least 3 years in an enterprise architect role
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Proficiency in architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF)
Expertise in defining enterprise target architecture, IT architecture principles, integration patterns, and technology lifecycle management
Proven knowledge and experience in the insurance industry, preferably within commercial insurance
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
Excellent communication and strategic thinking abilities
