About the role
- Bilingual Loan Officer Assistant supporting mortgage lending process at CrossCountry Mortgage. Ensuring efficiency and clear communication in loan applications and client interactions.
Responsibilities
- Supports high-producing Loan Officers within CrossCountry Mortgage
- Ensures efficient and seamless loan process for external clients
- Reviews applications, analyzes financial documentation and submitted files through automated underwriting systems
- Conducts welcome calls and maintains proactive communication with clients
- Collects, verifies, and organizes borrower documentation (income, assets, credit, etc.)
- Performs income analysis and calculations
- Submits loan files through automated underwriting systems (DU/LP)
- Prepares pre-approval letters on behalf of the Loan Officer
- Understands and advises clients on various loan program options
- Partners with internal teams to ensure loans are processed and closed on time
- Attends in-office meetings and training sessions at the branch office in The Colony, Texas
- Works overtime as required
Requirements
- Fluency in Spanish and English
- 2+ years of experience in the mortgage industry
- Proficient experience with loan origination software (Encompass preferred)
- Extensive knowledge of loan origination and underwriting processes
- Knowledge of residential mortgage procedures and loan programs
- Familiarity with FHA, VA, Conventional, and Non-QM loan programs
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Skilled in multitasking and managing competing priorities effectively
- Excels in dynamic, high-volume settings
