Account Manager responsible for managing PR for clients in the cryptocurrency and web3 sectors. Developing communication strategies and fostering media relationships within the industry.
Responsibilities
Creating strategic communication plans and identify media opportunities to ensuring the client KPIs are met
Providing strategic counsel to clients to aid their PR and wider marketing objectives
Writing and editing press releases, op-eds, feature stories, briefing documents and other communications material
Building/maintaining strategic relationships with senior journalists, particularly with top tier media publications in crypto, tech, finance and mainstream media
Managing workflow of the team, delegating tasks to SAEs and AEs
Managing and mentoring junior members of staff
Keeping abreast of current PR and crypto trends, and the clients media landscape
Taking part in new business pitching and developing PR proposals
Requirements
Candidate must have the right to work in UK
At least 3 years experience and a proven track record in PR in an agency, or in journalism
Outstanding organisational skills with an ability to effectively manage a portfolio of clients
Knowledge or experience of the fintech, blockchain or cryptocurrency space
High motivation and the ability to work under pressure, independently
Media relationships with financial, tech and mainstream press
Strong news sense and a knack for storytelling
Strong management and interpersonal skills
Flair for creativity, strategic thinking and innovation
Commercially aware and business savvy
Experience in building contacts and influential networks
Willing to communicate with memes
Keen interest in building relationships with key founders and leaders in the crypto, DeFi and Web3 ecosystem
Experience with a range of communication platforms (Telegram, Slack, X (formerly Twitter) and Discord)
