Responsibilities

• Client consulting and supplier management: You operationally support our clients and suppliers as a project manager—always friendly, professional and articulate, both by email and by phone.
• Project coordination: You manage the entire lifecycle of our language services—from inquiry to delivery to the client.
• Handling complaints: You view complaints as opportunities for improvement and handle them sensitively and skillfully.
• Process optimization: You question existing processes, identify opportunities for change and development, and implement them in coordination with management.
• Project preparation and follow-up: You are proficient with Phrase, Word and Excel. This includes data preparation, project setup, analyses, packaging files and reconciling deliveries.
• Handling complex file formats such as XML and XLIFF, as well as conducting test runs and troubleshooting.
• Managing projects with special technical requirements and training colleagues.
• Translation memories and termbases: You create and update translation memories using Phrase and maintain the associated documentation. You also manage termbases.
• Style guides and references: You create style guides and other reference materials for our translators.
• Quality and cost optimization: You contribute ideas to improve quality and reduce costs and create useful documentation for vendors and project managers.
• AI-assisted translation processes: You configure MT profiles in Phrase, select appropriate engines for different text types and perform quality checks.
• Translation memory optimization: You clean and harmonize translation memories, perform duplicate analyses and provide consistent data for new projects.
• Technical terminology management: You maintain terminology databases, check term consistency and ensure glossaries are correctly linked to AI and MT processes.
• Automated quality assurance: You use technical tools such as regex, QA profiles or automations to detect errors early and increase project quality.

Requirements

• You hold a degree or vocational training in a commercial or language-related field.
• You bring several years of project-related experience and know what matters.
• You build personal relationships easily, are confident in closing tasks and competent in consulting.
• You think proactively, recognize complex interrelationships independently and have strong empathy.
• You are fluent in German and English; an additional foreign language is a plus.
• You have a commercial mindset and are interested in process optimization.
• You are open to the daily challenges of the IT world and have good knowledge of MS Office.
• You are a service-oriented professional and contribute your expertise and ideas to help us grow together.
• You know the basics of modern AI and MT technologies and understand how different engines are used for various text types.
• You work confidently with translation memories and terminology databases and keep an overview even with large data volumes.
• You understand the structure of structured files (e.g., XML, XLIFF, JSON) and can quickly assess technical challenges.
• You have advanced knowledge of common CAT and TMS systems (e.g., Phrase, Trados) and can configure analysis and quality profiles with confidence.
