About the role

  • Reward Manager responsible for managing compensation strategies across UK, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific. Ensure regulatory compliance and competitive compensation packages while partnering with HR and finance teams.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the reward practices attract, retain, and motivate employees at Wood while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure effective business partnering as well as developing knowledge and understanding among leaders, HR teams and employees where you will provide valuable insights and recommendations to guide decision-making.
  • Proactively contribute to the global reward strategy to align with business requirements, legislation, and market trends.
  • Lead and deliver reward strategies across UK & Europe, Middle East, Africa & Caspian, and Asia-Pacific regions (EMEA and APAC).
  • Partner closely with HR, Finance, and business leaders to ensure compensation and benefits programs are market-competitive, compliant with local regulations, and aligned with the company’s global reward framework.
  • Manage key vendor relationships, monitor program outcomes, and recommend improvements as needed.
  • Identify and address potential risks in the organisation’s reward practices and guide the development of reward initiatives that align with business needs, leveraging the employee value proposition and reward levers to meet strategic objectives.
  • Prioritise employee engagement through transparent communication and collaboration with various stakeholders across HR, finance, and leadership teams.

Requirements

  • Degree level qualified and a specific reward qualification supported with significant relevant experience
  • Experience of broad reward practices in global organisations and ability to interpret and align strategy
  • Hands-on experience leading benefits renewals across relevant regions, with demonstrated involvement in salary band design and market salary survey analysis
  • Ability to plan and manage work of others to deliver objectives using existing internal resources
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing global job architecture/models in a complex organisation
  • Awareness of regional employment law and government legislation
  • External global benchmarking experience and the ability to develop best fit solutions based on findings from market data
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communicator with excellent report writing skills, ability to communicate complex principles effectively at all levels within the organisation
  • Able to build, motivate, develop and manage an effective small team of reward professionals
  • Experience in negotiating with external providers to achieve cost efficiencies
