About the role

  • Instrument Maintenance Support Engineer required for the Dana Contract. Hybrid role with 3 days in office at Aberdeen.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onshore support to the Offshore Operations team to facilitate effective maintenance and repair activities in matters relating to Controls and Instruments.
  • Offshore/onshore focal point for performance monitoring and troubleshooting of Controls and Instruments systems.
  • Identify and provide cost effective engineering solutions to platform operations and maintenance problems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, improve reliability, and reduce operating costs.

Requirements

  • Qualified with a degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent (or equivalent experience)
  • Good working knowledge of ICSS type control system equipment (Honeywell , Rockwell, Yokogawa, ABB, Siemens)
  • Knowledge and experience gained in the management of ICSS control system healthcare contractual agreements
  • Good working knowledge of the use and application of safety risk assessments
  • Good working knowledge of field instrumentation (i.e calibration and instrument selection to specific application)
  • Considerable experience of the oil and gas industry, predominantly gained in an engineering and production operations environment.
  • Good working knowledge and application of relevant UK oil and gas industry regulations and Standards (eg IEC61511, Cap437 EEMUA191)
  • Familiar with quality processes and the application of continuous improvement tools
  • Experience in the use of MAXIMO maintenance management system
