About the role
- Accountant supporting the financial operations of VERO, focusing on compliance and process improvement in accounting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with recording and classification of accounting entries in accordance with applicable standards and principles (CPC/IFRS)
- Assist in performing and reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations (assets, liabilities, income and expenses)
- Support management of accounting provisions (expenses and revenues)
- Contribute to the monthly accounting close, ensuring deadlines are met
- Assist with internal and external audit requests, organizing necessary documentation and information
- Support the control and accounting of fixed assets and intangibles, including tracking acquisitions, disposals and transfers
- Participate in process improvement initiatives under the guidance of the department leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (completed)
- Previous experience in accounting, month-end close routines and variance analysis
- Knowledge of SAP Business One (SAP B1) is a plus
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
