About the role

  • Workforce Analyst implementing daily forecasting and long-term planning activities at T. Rowe Price. Leveraging analytical skills to determine staffing needs and improve efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Implements daily forecasting and long-term planning activities
  • Responsible for utilizing judgment, analytical capabilities and communication skills with business leaders to determine staffing needs of business units
  • Uses workforce management software and analytic tools to provide quality forecasts based upon business unit objectives
  • Provides recommendations for times and attendance for training and other offline activities
  • Conducts meetings with business leaders to review staff plan and volumes forecasts
  • Analyzes staff utilization to increase efficiencies within business units
  • Assesses areas of improvement, provides recommendations, and partners with businesses to execute plans
  • Uses historical data and current trends to identify the need for schedule realignments
  • Provides recommendations for time off allowances
  • Communicates with business partners to gain agreement and fully understand expectations and client goals
  • Identifies areas of opportunity to improve efficiencies within schedule management processes and data delivery
  • Identifies short- and long-term strategies to achieve departmental goals

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 2+ years of total relevant work experience
  • Proficiency with data, particularly querying data with SQL and managing data in spreadsheets and databases
  • Strong analytical foundation, sound judgment, and ability to solve problems independently
  • Experience leveraging multiple data sources to generate data supported recommendations
  • Proven ability to communicate data to high level stakeholders
  • Knowledge of statistical concepts to provide new insights to internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency with Python
  • Experience with visualization software like Tableau, or Power BI to communicate business performance and status
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Proactive in seeking out process improvement to reduce expense or improve efficiency
