About the role
- Construction Manager leading planning and execution of construction projects for Sport Clips. Overseeing franchise buildouts and ensuring compliance with brand standards and operational requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, development, and execution of all construction projects for Sport Clips
- Collaborate with Team Leaders to support the journey of opening a new store from the design and construction perspective
- Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and oversee compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and operational requirements
- Oversee day-to-day operations of company projects, ensuring efficiency, quality, and alignment with brand standards
- Review and approve contractor invoices and change orders to ensure cost control measures are in place
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with at least 2 years in the retail or franchising sector
- Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects, including new builds, renovations, and franchise buildouts
- Strong understanding of franchise operations and the unique requirements associated with franchised locations
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent project management skills
- In-depth knowledge of construction software, budgeting tools, and project management platforms
- Ability to analyze complex construction issues and develop strategic solutions
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing large budgets
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices
- Experience working with franchisee agreements, construction specifications, and support requirements
