About the role

Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including on-premise and cloud resources
- Implement and oversee security protocols and conduct regular system updates and audits
- Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware components and software applications
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, or network issues promptly
- Maintain thorough documentation of all IT systems and changes
- Oversee regular data backup operations and verify that restore procedures work effectively
- Lead desktop support and helpdesk efforts for our staff
- Monitor system and network performance, and plan for capacity and storage needs
- Handle IT onboarding and offboarding processes for employees
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve IT operations and implement best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of hands-on experience in system and network administration
- Professional certifications are an asset (Linux, Microsoft, CCNA, Network+)
- Proficiency with both Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure (routing, switching, VPNs, DNS, DHCP)
- Ability to develop scripts or use automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- Experience implementing backup solutions and disaster recovery plans
- A proven track record of diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues
