About the role
- Accounts Payable Manager overseeing end-to-end AP operations for North America at J.R. Simplot Company. Leading a team and driving operational efficiencies in the accounts payable department.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing end‑to‑end AP operations for the North America region
- Leading and developing the regional AP team
- Ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing of vendor payments across all business units in scope
- Partnering closely with Finance, Procurement, and key business stakeholders
- Driving operational excellence, process efficiencies, and continuous improvement across accounts payable
- Analyzing AP metrics and KPIs (e.g., invoice cycle time, aging, error rates) to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Driving process improvements, internal controls compliance, automation, SAP transformation initiatives, and standardization across AP workflows
- Supporting system enhancements, upgrades, and integrations (ERP, OCR, workflow, payment platforms)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4-year college or university
- 5+ years related experience and/or training
- Several years of progressive experience in accounts payable, including supervisory or leadership roles
- Strong understanding of AP processes, internal controls, and resource requirements
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, NetSuite, or similar)
- Proven ability to analyze data and metrics to drive operational improvements
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
