About the role
- FMI Applications Analyst contributing to the efficiency of New Zealand’s payment and settlements system. Collaborating with product owners and internal teams to enhance functionality and support ongoing operations.
Responsibilities
- Play a critical role in ensuring the resilience, efficiency and continual improvement of Aotearoa’s core payment and settlements system
- Assist product owners in interpreting business needs, creating requirements for development partners and anticipating the impact for stakeholders
- Work closely with product owners, vendors and internal teams to analyse, evaluate and guide improvements to enhance the functionality of critical national services
- Provide ongoing functional support capability, contributing to business‑as‑usual operations, supporting functional investigation and issue resolution
Requirements
- A strong understanding of business analysis and documentation requirements
- Demonstrable experience in writing reports, procedures and process documents
- Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to collaborate across the directorate
- The ability to communicate and present technical information to a non-technical audience
