Account Executive managing PR for a portfolio of clients in Abu Dhabi. Creating effective PR plans and materials to engage journalists and influencers.
Responsibilities
Develop creative, effective PR plans in line with client brief and targets.
Create a range of materials including media releases, pitch emails, interview briefings and social media content for various clients within portfolio.
Act as a key liaison point between the team and various clients, including attending client meetings and regularly communicating with clients through other channels.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with journalists, influencers and other media contacts, including hosting media entertainment where appropriate.
Pitch press releases and feature ideas to journalists and influencers, across print, broadcast and online to interest them in covering clients’ stories.
Respond to journalist queries.
Arrange interviews and editorial meetings with key journalists for clients’ spokespeople and facilitate these meetings where appropriate.
Coordinate press launches and drops.
Coordinate and attend client events and provide hands-on support to ensure smooth execution of events.
Monitor media coverage and report results to the wider team and clients.
Deliver analytics reports on media coverage, traffic, engagement, followers and other relevant metrics.
Work collaboratively with members of other teams (i.e. Digital and Creative & Content) to ensure smooth project delivery across teams.
Understand and observe client social media channels and how they work to be able to support the Digital Team if needed.
Provide high quality, responsive and timely client services.
Participate in ideation, pitches and other brainstorming activities to develop fresh ideas in support of business development.
Engage in Qcademy and other learning & development opportunities, to enhance skills.
Stay across market trends and developments to help Q and our clients stay at the forefront of our industry in the region.
Requirements
A recognized tertiary qualification in Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism.
Ideally 2 years of local market experience in an agency.
A strong interest in a career in the Communications/PR industry.
Basic knowledge and experience of the local media landscape.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as high-level presentation skills.
Creative flair and a demonstrated ability to use that to bring engaging PR content to life.
Ability to build relationships, trust and credibility with clients, colleagues, journalists and other stakeholders.
Demonstrated commitment to delivering high levels of client service to a busy portfolio of clients.
An ability to work as part of a team to deliver services to clients.
An ability to work independently, seeking guidance when required.
Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines within a busy schedule.
