Senior Product Manager for Tutor Experience at Preply shaping tutor onboarding and retention strategies. Leading cross-functional initiatives to enhance tutor engagement and optimize product systems.
Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end tutor experience: Own the tutor journey as a cohesive system — from onboarding to long-term success. Ensure tutors can start teaching seamlessly, convert learners, and retain them for years to come through high-quality, consistent experiences.
Drive tutor quality at scale: Define what “great teaching” looks like, partnering with Learning Design, and embed it into product systems — including nudges, incentives (e.g. Super Tutor), and performance management — balancing quality with marketplace needs
Shape tutor behaviors through the product: Identify the behaviors that drive learner outcomes, and design systems (nudges, training, incentives) that reinforce them — moving beyond feature delivery to behavior change.
Make learning progress visible and actionable: Ensure progress is measurable, transparent, and motivating for both tutors and learners. Build AI/ML-powered tools that help tutors understand learner status and take the right actions. Design systems that connect tutor behavior → learner progress → subscription retention, and continuously optimize these loops with Product, Data, and Ops.
Turn tutors into product and subscription advocates: Partner with Learning and Supply teams to embed Preply tools into core teaching workflows. Drive tutor adoption of these tools to deliver structured learning journeys and demonstrate best teaching practices.
Ground decisions in insight: Combine qualitative research (tutor needs, behaviors) with quantitative analysis (retention, engagement, marketplace metrics) to identify and scale high-impact opportunities.
Manage complexity with clarity: Operate across a highly interconnected product ecosystem. Bring structure to ambiguity, prioritize ruthlessly, and focus on the highest-impact opportunities.
Be a cross-functional leader: Work closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Supply, CX, and 20+ learner-facing teams to align on priorities and deliver cohesive experiences across the marketplace.
Influence at every level: Partner with senior stakeholders and leadership. Communicate strategy, trade-offs, and results clearly, and drive alignment across teams.
