Responsibilities

- Support merchant retention and identify opportunities for upsell and cross-sell.
- Manage a portfolio of strategic European retail merchants, including premium and luxury brands with elevated expectations around service and execution.
- Build long-term strategic account plans with a consultative approach, ensuring PayPal’s solutions support merchant growth and deliver strong customer experiences.
- Act as a trusted senior advisor to commercial, product, and technical stakeholders.
- Lead commercial negotiations (pricing, renewals, expansions) with a thoughtful and consultative mindset, tailored to each merchant’s brand and global strategy.
Requirements
- 8+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong understanding of digital commerce, retail ecosystems, and ideally payments/fintech.
- Experience working with premium or high-expectation brands (a plus, not a requirement).
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with product and technical teams and influence strategic direction.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills across senior business and technical stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Fluent English; other European languages are a plus.
