About the role

• Forward Deployed Engineer transforming customer data into insights and solutions at paretos, an AI-powered decision intelligence platform. Engaging with clients and ensuring impactful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Your typical day includes: Analysis & workshops — reviewing the data situation, identifying gaps, preparing templates, and leading data workshops
• Transform customer data into the paretos schema, set up and compare baseline and agentic forecast results, identify opportunities, and test hypotheses
• Analyze results and derive actionable recommendations, always keeping real customer value in mind
• Monitor pipelines, check forecast quality, respond to ad-hoc questions, and continuously optimize
• Act as the technical point of contact for customers; collaborate closely with Customer Success and Product/Forecast teams, provide feedback, and support product development

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Business or Data Analyst
• Very strong analytical skills and a structured way of working
• Good programming skills in Python and experience with Git
• Practical experience with SQL / relational databases
• Strong communication skills — internal and external
• Fluent German and English (German is mandatory)
• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
• Willingness to work on-site regularly in Heidelberg
