About the role
- Construction Manager overseeing multiple construction projects in gas transmission for PG&E. Ensuring safety, quality, and budget compliance while liaising with project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Enhance safety by supporting safety programs, fostering a strong safety culture and collaborating with others to create safe working practices
- Act as the primary liaison between project stakeholders, including Project Managers, Engineers, and subcontractors
- Applies broad expertise to work on projects in multiple disciplines such as civil, electrical, process instrumentation and pipeline construction management
- Attend job scope walk downs, lead job scope discussions and attend 30/60/90 design reviews by Engineering
- Monitor daily construction activities and ensure the construction operations meet the program’s safety, quality, cost and schedule goals
- Oversee the Inspection of the construction work
- Communicate any engineering and design issues with Project Coordination and Engineering
- Work with Project Managers to establish planning/schedule dates for construction
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 7 years of experience in the field of Industrial engineering or Construction
- Knowledge of carbon steel piping materials, welding processes and standards used on Gas Transmission Construction
- Working Knowledge of Primavera P6, Unifier, ProjectWise, SAP or similar
- Demonstrated abilities in Cost accounting / Inspection / Contract administration
- Demonstrated knowledge in Gas Transmission Construction
- Ability to perform cost and project scheduling
- Gas Transmission material / construction / welding standards
