About the role

Responsibilities
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy and accountability across all HR functions
- Mentor and lead HR staff
- Independently manage and execute all HR processes and practices
- Manage key HR systems, including Payroll
- Partner with hiring managers to develop role-specific recruitment strategies
- Proactively source candidates and manage direct recruitment efforts
- Oversee interviews, candidate selection, offer negotiation, and onboarding
- Contribute to the end-of-year performance review and calibration processes
- Supervise and develop HR staff and office support personnel
- Oversee onboarding, employee records, and compliance documentation
- Actively contribute to a culture of high performance, collaboration, and employee well-being
Requirements
- Relevant 4-year degree or equivalent experience
- 8–10 years of HR experience, including 5+ years in a demonstrated leadership role within Australia
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and HR best practices
- Proven experience with payroll systems and HR management platforms
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to handle sensitive and difficult conversations
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and mentor others
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Interest in technology or financial services is a plus
