Responsibilities
Management of the payroll process, scheduling, and work allocation
Distributes workload and assigns tasks
Transfers payroll information to general ledger
Delivers payroll reports to departments
Performs/assists with routine filing of tax information Federal, State, Local
Provides customer service to departments
W-2 production/quality control.
Management of Payroll Staff recruiting, developing, motivating and monitoring staff members
Creates individualized staff development plans
Plans and runs biweekly department meetings
Coordinates employee opinion survey action plans
Maintains knowledge of taxes and HR policies
Attends monthly meetings with HR, Finance, and IS Director.
Upgrades Information Systems PeopleSoft/Matrix/Kronos, E-Pay installation.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree (Required)
CPP - Certified Payroll Professional - American Payroll Association
5 years experience in Payroll with automated time and attendance system
