About the role

Responsibilities
- Guiding students through the financial aid process, from FAFSA completion to award packaging
- Reviewing and analyzing financial aid applications to determine eligibility for federal, state, and institutional aid
- Awarding and adjusting aid packages in compliance with all applicable regulations and policies
- Counseling students and families through individual appointments, workshops, phone calls, email, and virtual tools
- Managing verification files, resolving discrepancies, and submitting required corrections
- Evaluating special and unusual circumstances with sound judgment and empathy
- Collaborating across departments to support enrollment, retention, and student satisfaction
- Presenting at orientations, information sessions, and student forums
- Supporting exit counseling for students who withdraw or graduate
- Contributing to team initiatives, continuous improvement efforts, and university events
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience working directly with students and families in Financial Aid
- Working knowledge of Title IV financial aid regulations
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
