Therapeutic Area Strategy Head leading a team in creating holistic portfolio strategies for Novartis. Focusing on cardio-renal-metabolic innovations and managing cross-functional collaborations.
Responsibilities
Lead a therapeutic area focused team in the creation and update of a holistic and aligned Enterprise portfolio strategy
Build and maintain in-depth knowledge of the therapeutic area including disease models
Provide insight within key portfolio governance processes
Support identification of growth accretive opportunities
Coach, attract, develop, and retain top talents
Manage TA strategy financial budget including forecasting resource needs and costs
Requirements
Advanced degree or equivalent experience in life science/healthcare required
Cardiologist training highly desirable
Minimum 10 years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience
Proven ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed, fast-paced environment
Ability to comfortably engage with C-suite and mid-career associates
Strong financial and business acumen with a strong understanding of the biopharma landscape
Strong strategic vision and excellent communication skills
Experience leading and managing a team
