Pricing & Estimating Manager overseeing estimating strategies for Northrop Grumman. Managing staffing, resources, and establishing relationships while ensuring ethical conduct.
Responsibilities
Manage the department staffing, resources, tools, and training (as needed).
Engage with Business Unit/Division leadership to develop estimating strategies needed to successfully capture new business.
Understand and adhere to internal and external policies and procedures as it pertains to the role.
Establish strategic relationships both internally with business unit leadership, and externally, with government counterparts.
Maintain a database of cost and non-cost data.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (to include: Economics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Operations Analysis, Engineering) with 8+ years of relevant professional experience including people management experience – OR – Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (to include: Economics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Operations Analysis, Engineering) with 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
Experience leading projects and/or experience directly or indirectly managing others.
Proven ability to evaluate, integrate, and communicate cost issues and risks to senior and executive management.
Demonstrated expertise in business management, cost/risk modeling, pricing, estimating, and a working understanding of Government and commercial contracting and subcontracting.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to use them in informing, presenting, negotiating and problem solving with a wide range of professionals and leadership.
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
