About the role
- Active Directory Administrator at NiSource managing Windows Server and Active Directory for enterprise security. Responsible for design, administration, and optimization with a focus on best practices and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, administration, security, and optimization of the enterprise Windows Server and Active Directory environment
- Manage and maintain Windows Server infrastructure including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, PKI, VMware virtualization
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of solutions for assigned technical product and/or platform
- Create appropriate unit, integration, and automated acceptance tests for features based on requirements
- Develop products or platforms that fulfill requirements and enhance functionality and performance
- Identify, diagnose, and solve issues in a production setting
- Participate in code/configuration reviews and ensure that solutions meet quality standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of experience working with Windows Server and Active Directory administration
- 7+ years of experience with enterprise patching and vulnerability remediation using tools such as Qualys, Tanium, and/or BigFix
- 5+ years of experience in a large enterprise environment
- 5+ years of experience leading infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and security remediation projects
- 5+ years of scripting/automation using PowerShell for patch deployment, vulnerability remediation, and system configuration tasks
- Knowledge of disaster recovery and backup strategies for both Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
- Strong documentation and mentoring skills to train junior administrators and maintain accurate system and process records.
