About the role
- Procurement Analyst supporting sourcing strategies for Newell Brands' Home & Commercial business. Collaborating with cross-functional teams on product development and supplier negotiations.
Responsibilities
- Support the category manager in development and execution of sourcing strategies for designated commodities or product platforms.
- Develop projects and activity to deliver continuous cost improvement.
- Partner with suppliers to extend payment terms and minimize manufacturing lead time.
- Act as a key liaison to facilitate supplier innovation concepts into cross functional development plans.
- Work cross functionally and with suppliers to diversify spend geographically with a goal to minimize tariff exposure.
- Responsible for supporting the category manager on commercial activities including: Contract management, Project implementation, Quotation preparation and negotiation activities, Supporting regulatory compliance, Vendor and part data management within SAP, Supplier meetings.
- Responsible for the supplier identification, quoting process, negotiations, and supplier selection on NPD projects.
- Routinely works with global cross-functional project teams: Marketing, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain and Program Management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering or related field preferred.
