About the role
- Procurement Manager overseeing contract manufacturing for hair and skin products at Prose. Engaging with suppliers and ensuring alignment with business priorities and production schedules.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary procurement point of contact with contract manufacturing procurement teams.
- Coordinate with contract manufacturers to ensure purchase orders and production schedules are aligned with Prose business priorities.
- Monitor production readiness and proactively resolve procurement, supplier, or operational issues that may impact batching schedules or on-time finished goods delivery.
- Partner with Supply Planning and Operations teams to align production priorities and manufacturing timelines.
- Support new product launches, reformulations, and production ramp-ups across contract manufacturing sites.
- Collaborate with R&D and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of formulation or supplier changes.
- Ensure purchase orders in NetSuite are accurately maintained and updated to reflect the latest production schedules and changes from contract manufacturing partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
- 5+ years of procurement, supply chain, or contract manufacturing management experience.
- Experience working with contract manufacturers or third-party production partners.
- Strong understanding of raw material procurement and manufacturing supply chains.
- Experience in the beauty, cosmetics, personal care, or supplement industry preferred.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy and organization.
- Ability to function both independently and as part of a team; must be flexible and excited to grow with the organization.
- Excel/Google Sheet proficiency.
- Experience managing multiple vendors or supplier relationships.
- Strong critical-thinking skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Highly knowledgeable about industry best practices.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP platform.
