About the role

• Accountant responsible for preparing financial statements and ensuring compliance at meistro. Collaborating with auditors and finance teams while developing processes in a hybrid role.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code).
• Ensure proper financial accounting (general ledger and sub-ledgers).
• Handle day-to-day operational tasks (provisions, accruals, account reconciliations).
• Serve as a point of contact for accounting and valuation matters.
• Actively develop processes, structures and internal controls.
• Support planning, forecasting and management reporting.
• Collaborate closely with auditors, tax advisors and internal departments.
• Future opportunity: take on increased responsibility within the department.

Requirements

• You have completed training as a Bilanzbuchhalter or hold a comparable qualification.
• You bring at least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• You work independently, think strategically and tackle challenges with a hands-on mentality.
• You are strong in negotiation and communication.
• You have very good German and English skills.
• You are a team player and act as a pragmatic sparring partner for management and colleagues.
• You know how to share your knowledge and help develop your colleagues and environment.
