About the role
- Finance Business Partner driving profitability and financial insights at Marshalls PLC, a top UK hard landscaping supplier. Collaborating with stakeholders and enhancing financial planning and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business, accounts, reporting cycles, and financial performance.
- Take ownership of the P&L and Balance Sheet and your business unit's performance, using your keen judgement to manage and escalate issues effectively.
- Play a pivotal role in delivering accurate forecasts/budgets and monthly accounts, including using standard costing and variance analysis to provide clear visibility of production performance, material usage and labour efficiency.
- Be at the forefront of shaping our strategy and driving the business toward its strategic goals by presenting insightful Management Information (MI) to our senior leaders.
- Ensure all stakeholders receive the right support at the right time by continuously improving the quality of our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and commercial decision-making.
- Work effectively with stakeholders, understanding their needs and providing the right solutions to support business objectives. A strong people-centric approach is essential, as you will be expected to build and maintain positive relationships throughout the organisation.
- Regularly travel to manufacturing sites across the country, gaining invaluable insights into our operations.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (CIMA or equivalent).
- Commercial business knowledge and FP&A experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ambitious, determined, and eager to engage with leadership teams, you are driven to challenge the norm, status quo and contribute to strategic decision-making.
- Team player with a strong motivation to succeed, resilience, well organised and structured approach.
- Able to foster productive relationships across the businesses with multi-level contacts.
