Responsibilities
Strategic partner aligned to organizations within John Hancock to develop and drive the people strategy, workforce planning, talent management, and organizational change
Be a thought leader and agent of change with respect to the People function, assessing and sharing opportunities and risks
Actively analyze data with the goal of communicating insights back to the business to advise their people related strategies and priorities
Proactively and strategically drive talent identification and development processes
Partner closely with the wider People function to leverage global scale and contribute to its agenda
Provide feedback, advice, and coaching to senior leaders on talent issues and People strategies
Anticipate impact of change on the organization and provide advice and education to leaders
Requirements
Minimum 10+ years of experience across several People Practice disciplines
Proven success as a leadership coach with the ability to influence, truly collaborate, and negotiate in a Global matrixed reporting environment
Use of data and analytics to drive business solutions
Strong communicator – both written and verbal with experience delivering messages to a senior audience
Client centricity with a focus on the employee experience
Excellent business and professional judgement including ability to drive business outcomes, even with ambiguity
Strategic partnership orientation both internally and externally; continually seek input/feedback from clients to effectively meet needs of the organization
Courage: influencing and negotiating with all partners both within and outside assigned client groups
