About the role

  • Fitness Program Manager overseeing fitness programs for seniors, managing trainers and ensuring quality service. Passionate about promoting healthier lifestyles for older adults in various communities.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage the master class schedule across all client locations.
  • Assign trainers to classes and arrange for qualified substitutes as needed to prevent disruptions.
  • Ensure all trainers are properly certified and compliant with Live 2 B Healthy standards.
  • Conduct regular site visits, class observations, and provide ongoing feedback and support.
  • Help recruit, interview, and onboard new trainers.
  • Coordinate initial training and ensure all new hires are fully prepared to lead classes independently.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for communities regarding class times, schedule changes, and trainer assignments.
  • Communicate promptly and professionally with community contacts and trainers.
  • Monitor and support trainer performance, identify areas for improvement, and facilitate continuing education opportunities.
  • Maintain consistency in program delivery across all locations.
  • Serve as a backup instructor and fill in for classes when needed to maintain continuity of service.

Requirements

  • Experience in fitness instruction, personal training, or group exercise management
  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Confidence in managing multiple trainers and community relationships
  • Current nationally recognized fitness certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, AFAA, or equivalent)
  • Current CPR/AED certification (required)
  • Carry active insurance (required)
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality for supporting sessions
  • Prior experience in senior fitness or working with older adults (preferred)
  • Familiarity with fitness program management or franchise operations (preferred)
  • Background in working with seniors or within senior living communities (preferred)
  • Understanding of age-related conditions and how to safely modify exercises (preferred)
