About the role
- Trading Operations Analyst responsible for managing daily reconciliations and settlements of transactions at Kora. Collaborating with banking partners and ensuring payment accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Daily processing and control of related financial transactions.
- Ensure all payments and settlements are made on time.
- Monitor and report daily position of Kora’s settlement accounts.
- Provide the supervisor with updated information on outstanding items to minimise risk.
- Daily verification and matching of all clearing and settlement accounts.
- Monitor and provide supporting comments daily, weekly, and monthly to the team lead on ageing entries outstanding on clearing-related accounts.
- Running and execution of daily reports.
- Prompt and accurate delivery of funds to customers and banks to create a positive corporate image and minimise claims.
- Maintain and manage treasury and settlement files, bank records, financial logs and reports.
- Maintain, manage and update settlement data.
- Review and ensure compliance with policies and procedures and country regulatory requirements.
- Provide support on audit issues about operational issues, including management response, follow-up, correction and reporting.
- All other duties aligned with payments and settlements as directed by management.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in a tech start-up and/or high-growth start-up and/or fast-paced, hypergrowth environment is preferred.
- Proficiency with the Google Office suite; data-analytics skills are a plus
- Hands-on knowledge of Operational control / Reconciliation functions
