About the role
- Software Developer enhancing ERP business systems, focusing on Microsoft Dynamics NAV/365. Engage in migration projects and close collaboration with departments.
Responsibilities
- You develop and extend business systems with a focus on ERP, particularly based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV / 365 Business Central.
- You provide technical support for migration and transformation projects – from NAV to Business Central.
- You extend and customize ERP modules by programming in AL and C/AL.
- You integrate external systems such as BI tools or archiving solutions.
- You are responsible for database administration (Microsoft SQL Server), including monitoring, backups, performance tuning and security.
- You maintain Windows servers and handle software installations as well as patch management.
- You support release rollouts and system migrations.
- You work closely with other departments on the analysis and technical implementation of requirements.
- You actively contribute to system migrations, release changes and user administration.
- You ensure reliable monitoring – e.g. using PowerShell and CheckMK.
- You also manage the archive system (d.3) in a structured and secure manner.
Requirements
- A degree in (business) computer science or a comparable qualification (e.g. vocational training as an IT specialist in application development or system integration).
- Several years of experience in the development and administration of ERP and business systems.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central as well as AL and C/AL.
- Confident handling of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL – from queries to performance optimization.
- Experience in system and server administration on Windows, including network and permission structures.
- Knowledge of Java and experience with automation using PowerShell.
- Familiarity with modern development environments such as Git and Visual Studio Code, ideally also with the .NET Framework.
- Quick comprehension, analytical thinking and a structured working style.
- Team spirit, strong communication skills and a responsible approach to work.
- Desirable but not required: knowledge of C# or C++, especially for analysis and computation components.
- Experience with web APIs, web services and common network protocols.
- Know-how in UI/visualization with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
- German language skills at least B2 and solid English.
