Business Development Manager driving the DACH market for JAKALA Germany, focusing on consultative selling in the Shopify ecosystem. Collaborate with eCommerce teams in Italy to deliver agency services and SaaS solutions.
Responsibilities
Consultative Selling: Analyze the technical and commercial requirements of potential customers (B2B/B2C) and derive tailored additional JAKALA solutions (e.g., migration to Shopify Plus, headless architectures, or app integrations).
Pipeline Management: End-to-end responsibility from qualification (inbound/outbound) through the demo to contract closing and handover to the delivery team.
Ecosystem Networking: Actively maintain relationships with Shopify partner managers and technology partners (e.g., Klaviyo, Yotpo) to generate referral business.
Market Monitoring: Identify trends in the D2C (direct-to-consumer) market to adapt pitch decks and messaging.
Thinking Beyond the Box: You are familiar with Jakala Germany’s full service portfolio and can combine eCommerce solutions with additional technology services.
Requirements
Sales Experience: Proven success in B2C and B2B sales within e-commerce, SaaS, or digital agency environments.
Methodologies: Experience with frameworks such as MEDDIC or SPIN Selling is a plus.
Platform Knowledge: Solid understanding of Shopify (differences between Core and Plus, API capabilities, basic Liquid knowledge) is essential to speak confidently with eCommerce managers and identify gaps in the value chain.
Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret a merchant’s unit economics (CAC, CLV, AOV) and use those metrics to calculate the ROI of our services.
Languages: Business-fluent German (capable of C-level communication) and English.
Tech Stack: Confident use of Salesforce and sales-intelligence tools.
