Deputy Operations Manager overseeing Pacific Northwest trips for Intrepid and Wildland Trekking. Ensuring performance and adherence to company policies as a primary contact for field staff.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall performance of Pacific Northwest trips, including maintaining and operating a branch warehouse and performing business administrative duties related to the branch.
Serve as the main point of contact for field staff in the Pacific Northwest branch as well as the Operations teams.
Supports contracting, reservations, sales, and other branch functions.
Expected to perform other duties as required, which may fall outside the scope of these responsibilities depending on business needs.
Maintain a flexible schedule and work weekends and/or holidays as necessary.
Requirements
Extensive knowledge of the field area; Northwest USA Travel industry work experience, preferably as a tour leader or guide or operations manager
Excellent communication (verbal & written) in English
Experience in administrative tasks with solid skills in Microsoft Office including word and excel
Previous experience with a CRM system/ Salesforce preferred
Strong supervisory, facilitation and organization skills
Ability to lift up-to 20 pounds and work at a computer station up to 40 hours-per-week
Meet company and DOT driving requirements and maintain a valid Driver’s License; Must be at least 21 years of age and successfully pass a motor vehicle and background check
Maintain a current Wilderness First Responder, CPR & Epi Certification
