About the role

Responsibilities
- Drive water resources and drought strategies, ensuring risks are identified, managed, and mitigated across the Anglian Region
- Lead on the creation of the hydrological input for components of the statutory Drought Plan
- Act as a key hydrological point of contact for drought management, leading tactical and strategic workstreams, and ensuring compliance with our Drought Plan
- Oversee hydrological analysis, reporting, modelling, and data management to support business priorities and innovative solutions
- Build strong relationships internally and externally, including with regulators such as the Environment Agency
- Manage critical projects from drought permit preparation to data visualisation, translating complex technical information into actionable insights
Requirements
- Proven experience in hydrology or water resources management
- Strong analytical and scientific skills
- Exceptional leadership ability to inspire and motivate technical teams
- Skilled in strategic planning, risk management, and delivering high-quality outcomes under pressure
- Excellent communicator, able to simplify complex data for diverse audiences
