About the role
- Functional Consultant S4 / QM role at Hydro, contributing to SAP project implementations and facilitating business requirements translation. Supporting system configuration, testing, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Contributing to implementation project activities
- Translating business requirements to technical solutions
- Overseeing the development of new functionality
- Creating Process Design Documents and Functional Design Documents (under supervision of the Stream Solution Architect)
- Configuring the system
- Performing and supporting test cycles to ensure the final product satisfies the defined requirements
- Providing training to key users
- Supporting the creation of the cut-over plan and executes the plan
- Providing Hyper-Care support for the predefined period
- Resolving defects
- Creating and updating relevant project documentation
- Providing the 3rd level support
- Supporting Data Migration processes (providing functional documentation, providing input to data mapping sessions, resolving defects, assisting in the data load validation)
- Working under the supervision of the Team Lead (task management) and the Stream Solution Architect (solution management)
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of SAP experience, especially with the SAP QM module, in a hands-on project environment
- Experience delivering enterprise-level SAP projects using waterfall methodology across the full lifecycle
- Strong SAP configuration knowledge (workflows, validation rules, security controls)
- Experience in gathering business requirements and preparing functional design documentation
- Expert understanding of SAP QM architecture and design
- Experience with SAP integrations (other business systems, iDocs, EDI, integration tools)
- Solid knowledge of environment management, release management, version control, and deployment best practices
- Experience with SAP Activate, Agile methodologies, and greenfield / brownfield / rollout projects
- Manufacturing industry experience (metal and/or automotive preferred)
- University degree (IT or Business), strong written and spoken English, ABAP debugging and customizing knowledge, strong communication skills
