Sales Representative responsible for acquiring new clients and managing existing logistics accounts. Engaging in negotiations and ensuring comprehensive client support with a focus on customer relations.
Responsibilities
Responsible for new business acquisition and for growing existing courier, express and parcel (CEP) accounts
Conduct price and contract negotiations
Identify new business opportunities and market potential
Plan, execute and follow up on visits to CEP customers
Closely coordinate with Operations, Customer Service, Pricing and other internal stakeholders
Prepare and coordinate CEP quotes, tenders and rate inquiries
Proactively follow up on ocean freight quotations to increase gross profit (GP) and volume
Document all sales activities in the CRM system
Support onboarding of new CEP customers
Contribute to the further development of CEP products and services
Professionally represent the company
Requirements
Completed commercial training in freight forwarding/logistics or equivalent further qualification/continuing education
At least three years’ experience in field sales within the logistics industry
Solid product, process and market knowledge in the courier, express and parcel sector
Excellent market and competitor knowledge within the sales territory
Proven success in CEP sales, especially in driving volume growth and GP (gross profit) development
Proficient in MS Office applications and experienced with CRM systems
Fluent German and good English, both written and spoken
Team-oriented, self-directed and structured work style
Strong negotiation skills, persuasiveness and a customer- and solution-oriented mindset
Excellent presentation skills and a confident, professional demeanor
Willingness to travel within the sales territory (up to 75%)
