About the role

  • Director of Executive Communications leading narrative development for HPE Financial Services. Managing communications strategy and team while collaborating with global business leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the communications needs of various internal and external audiences; develop key messaging and communications plans to support key business priorities and drive desired outcomes.
  • Manage a team of two including a senior communications manager and an individual contributor; partner closely with PR and AR leaders.
  • Help drive the strategy and planning to support key internal and external events.
  • Drive strategy and execution around the development of executive presentations; write and edit speeches; develop comms strategy and content for organizational announcements; draft emails, web content, blog posts, articles, etc.
  • Oversee executive social media strategy.
  • Partner with HR and BU stakeholders to drive adoption of culture across HPEFS team members.
  • Serve as member of HPEFS leadership team; play role as communications consultant and strategist for HPEFS and work closely with other members of leadership team to deliver on business priorities.
  • Work cross-functionally across teams, businesses, and functions to ensure alignment.
  • Learn the voice and style of HPEFS leaders to effectively communicate and collaborate utilizing a host of communications vehicles.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of external communications experience, with a Fortune 500 company, global enterprise, or a combination of either.
  • Strong PR and social media experience.
  • Extensive executive communications experience supporting top executive leadership and/or the C-suite, with a global technology leader preferred.
  • Strong listener, collaborative, diplomatic, and consultative; Proven ability to lead teams, influence executives and peers, nurture talent, develop strategic plans, collaborate with cross-functional peers, and deliver business results.
  • Experience guiding executives in communications strategies; ability to recommend performance strategies and techniques for public speaking, event presence, media engagements.
  • Superior writing, editing, and presentation skills, with the ability to coach and uplevel others.
  • Previous thought leadership campaign success and examples.
