About the role
- Lead System Engineer overseeing systems engineering activities for Grid Solutions in renewable energy projects. Managing technical teams and coordinating with suppliers in a multi-cultural environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee systems engineering activities of the project.
- Manage the systems engineering technical budget.
- Apply the Technical Quality Plan and Requirements Quality Plan.
- Supervise and coordinate all systems engineering technical tasks required to realize project objectives, whether those tasks are undertaken in house or by Suppliers/Sub-Contractors.
- Coordinate with Suppliers and Sub-Contractors to resolve technical queries within their scope.
- Enforce the deployment of ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288:2015 Systems and software engineering — System life cycle processes.
- Advocate for the adoption of best practices in Systems Engineering and Electrical Power Transmission to improve the delivery of the Engineering function.
- Actively and routinely promote the identification of hazards and EHS risks in own area of operation and objects of design.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related field.
- Proven senior-level experience in systems engineering or relevant technical field.
- Experience leading technical teams.
- Experience with requirements management tools such as IBM® Engineering Requirements Management DOORS 9.7.0.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Able to work in a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural team environment.
- Willing to travel as required.
- High level of integrity and accountability with a results-driven mindset.
